Located in Botucatu, State of São Paulo - Brazil, IBD works from its foundation in 1982 in Brazil and Latin America, contributing to develop a sustainable agriculture way, based on new economical, social and ecological relationships.
Inspection and Certification
Today, IBD Certifications is a leading certification body in Latin America with certified operations in Brazil, United States, Mexico, Belgium, Paraguay, China, Thailand, India, Canada and Europa with more than 800 operations (production, processing, trading), 4000 small farmers and more than 3 million ha of certified area.

Accreditation
IBD is proud to be the only Brazilian certification body accredited IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements), ISO Guide 65 (IBD-Directrices equivalent to Reg. (EC) No. 834/2007), COR (Canadian Organic Regime), Demeter (Biodynamic Guidelines), NOP (National Organic Program) and RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil).
IBD is also approved by the Brazilian Ministry MAPA and accredited by INMETRO for certification to the national Brazilian Law 10.831 for organic production which came in force on 01.01.2011.
Additional Business
Besides the IBD Organic Program with standards equivalent to the EU Regulation 834/2007 and the IFOAM Standards, IBD runs also the "Fair Trade" programs EcoSocial and INTEGRA as well as Non-GMO, Organic and Natural Cosmetics and Input Approval Programs.
IBD is also approved for the climate protection program Stop Climate Change (SCC) and got recently approved for the NSF and NaTrue Cosmetic Programs.
